Save a picture in JPEG format

1. On the File menu, click Save for Use In.
   
   
2. Do one of the following:
   • Click On the Web to save the picture in its actual size, and then click Next.

     OR

   • Click On the Web as a thumbnail to save a 96 by 96 pixel version, and then click Next.
3. Click Fill them with the background color, and then click Next.
   
   
4. If your picture has transparent areas:
   • Click Fill them with the background color, and then click Next.
     
     
   • Choose a color to fill the transparent areas, and then click Next. Learn how to select a different color.
5. Review the previews of the picture at different compression levels, and click the preview of the smallest sized file that looks acceptable to you. Then click Next.
   
   
6. Click Save. The Save for Use In dialog box appears so that you can specify a name and location for this file.
